An interesting and educational program in the South Limburg countryside. From Maastricht you take a school bus to the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten where more than 8,000 American World War II soldiers are buried. Most of these soldiers died during the Ardennes Offensive in 1944. A guide will take you on a one-hour educational tour of the cemetery. This is followed by a beautiful drive through the countryside with a stop for coffee and traditional “Limburgse vlaai” (fruit pie) in one of the picturesque villages of South Limburg.
The return trip to Maastricht takes you back to the city along a scenic route through the hilly landscape.
The duration of this program is four hours and the costs are € 625,00 + € 8,50 per person.
