Historical Sailing Route
During this boat trip we let you relive old times by sailing the historic sailing route (part of the old route from the historic inner harbor of Maastricht via the Zuid Willemsvaart to Flanders). The route starts on the Maas and enters the old inland harbor “t Bassin” via lock 20. From the old inner harbour, with its old quay cellars and old monumental factory buildings, you continue along the old fortifications, under a tunnel constructed by Willem I, to the manually operated lock 19. You return via the Zuid Willemsvaart and the Bosscherveld lock. on the Meuse. Depending on the locks, this route may be the other way around.
