City Tour C

Trip duration: 4 hours
Board from: 15 minutes before departure
Adults € 31,75 Children (4 to 12 years) € 21,75

An approximately 45-minute tour with our sturdy American school bus. You can get acquainted with both historic and modern Maastricht in an original way. A route along, among other things, the old city walls, the historic inner harbor 't Bassin, the Markt, the Vrijthof, the cozy Wyck district with buildings from the early 20th century, the architectural district Céramique with, among others, the Bonnefantenmuseum, the Gouvernement (where the Treaty of Maastricht has been signed) and the Sint Pietersberg. After the bus ride, get on the canal boat for a nice boat trip on the Maas, along the old center of the city. After 20 minutes of sailing, disembark at Sint Pietersberg for a guided tour of the caves. Away from the crowd, no light, no sound, no sense of time and no range with your phone… Zonneberg Caves is a vast system with about 80 km of corridors. An experienced guide will take you underground for an approximately 1-hour tour. Fascinating for young and old. After the tour, walk back to the jetty at the foot of Sint Pietersberg for the 2nd leg of your boat trip, departing 20 minutes past the hour.

Due to a climbing walk to the caves, this program is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. The temperature in the caves is around 12 ºC all year round.
