Afternoon tour Kanne
A day trip to the Belgian town of Kanne including a tour of the caves followed by a beer tasting

12:00: Welcome on board your own passenger ship and departure from the boat to the Belgian town of Kanne. During the trip we pass the well-known "Stop van Ternaaien", where the boat is raised 15 meters from the Maas to the Albert Canal. After sailing we serve an extensive Captains Class lunch with various cold and warm dishes.

13:45: Arrival in Kanne and start of a tour of the caves there, including a visit to the storage depot of the Kanne cave beer. During the tour you can taste this delicious beer yourself together with a block of cave cheese in one of the attractively lit corridors. 

15:30: We expect the guests back on board for the return trip to Maastricht.

17:00: Arrival in Maastricht and disembarkation.

Historic Maastricht
During this program we will introduce you to a number of historic places in Maastricht, where even many Maastricht residents have not yet been.

10.30 am: Reception of the guests on board our “Belvédère valley” with coffee and pie. This ship is exclusively reserved for your group and is of the "canal boat" type. The captain is said to be in between the guests and is happy to provide information about the ship and the sailing route. The sliding roofs of the ship can be opened completely, so that the guests have a good view of the surroundings. There is also an outside deck that can accommodate approximately 20 guests.

10.45 am: Departure of the boat for a trip through the historic inner harbor of Maastricht, 't Bassin (from 1826). During the voyage we pass through 3 locks and a tunnel that was part of the former fortifications of Maastricht.

At around 11:45 am the crew puts etagères on the table with small delicacies such as finger sandwiches and Italian bread with dippers and tapenades.

1:00 PM: End of the boat trip. Guides are ready to take you for an approximately 1.5-hour walk through the historic center of Maastricht.

2.45 pm: The walk ends at the Bisschopsmolen. This is the oldest, still working water mill in the Netherlands and is powered by the river Jeker. The mill is now used as a bakery. The
baker proudly tells a short story while enjoying a delicacy from the bakery.

3.15 pm: End of your “Historic Maastricht” arrangement.

Surprising Maastricht
A great fun package for those who want to experience Maastricht in a different way

12.00: Your program in Maastricht starts with a lunch in the “Riverside Lounge” in the center of the city.

1.15 pm: After lunch you will walk on your own via the historic St. Servaas Bridge to the Wyck district, where the Bosch Brewery is located at Wycker-Grachtstraat 26. Beer was brewed in this protected national monument until 1970. During the interesting tour you will get a good idea of ​​how people used to work and live here. Afterwards, 2 craft beers are served in the gelagkamer.

We serve coffee and tea according to your wishes.

Surprisingly Liège
“By boat to Liège” is a concept in Maastricht. Since the 2nd half of the 19th century there has been a boat connection between Maastricht and Liège with freight and passengers. Now you can experience why Liège has been a popular destination for so long.

11 a.m.: Welcome on board your, exclusively reserved, passenger ship with coffee and Limburg pie.

11.15 am: Departure of the boat for a trip to Liège. During the trip we pass the well-known “Stop van Ternaaien”. In this imposing lock system (from 1933), the boat is raised 15 meters
artillery from the Maas to the Albert Canal.

Approx. 13:00: We serve soup and sandwiches from a buffet.

About 1.45 pm: The boat moors in the center of Liège. The guests disembark here and can visit this interesting city on their own. It is also possible to go on a city walk led by  VVV guides or to put together another program in Liège.

4.15 pm: We expect the guests back on board.

Approx. 4.30 pm: The boat departs for the return trip to Maastricht. During the return journey, guests can enjoy an extensive cold & hot buffet with various regional dishes.

Approx. 7 pm: Arrival in Maastricht and end of the package.
